Deadly wild animals attack

Firstly, most wild animals don’t consider humans prey and so are not belike to aggress unless they feeling threatened or differently provoked in some way. It would be considered indeed to try to deflect any so much unfriendly meetings.

Mountain lions attack

Mountain lions are common throughout much of the Americas but they very rarely attack humans. The felines can grow up to nine feet in length, and weigh up to 260 pounds (120 kg).Since the late 19th century, there have been just over 100 attacks on people in North America, around 20 of them fatal.

A mountain lion attacked, killed and partially ate a New Mexico man. A search party found the body of Robert Nawojski, 55, in a wooded area near his mobile home in Pinos Altos, New Mexico. Investigators concluded that Nawojski had been attacked and killed by a mountain lion, or cougar, at a spot close to his home, where he lived alone and was known to bathe and shave outdoors. Spokesman Dan Williams said the lion subsequently dragged the man’s body a short distance into nearby woodland and ate and buried parts of it. After the lion ran off, the officer found the door to the mobile home open, the water running, and Nawojski’s false teeth on the table.

Eagle Ray attack

Spotted eagle rays are common in warm or tropical waters and are often seen near coral reefs. The can grow to more than 8 feet across and have two to six short, venomous barbs near the base of their whip-like tails, according to the Florida Museum of Natural History’s Web site. The rays often swim near the water’s surface and can leap out, especially when pursued, but are generally shy of humans.

An Eagle Ray has killed a 55-year-old Michigan woman on a boat near Marathon Key, Florida. The woman was boating with her family when the ray weighed about 80 pounds (36 kg) and had a wingspan of 5 to 6 feet, from the water and reportedly struck her in the neck with its barbed tail. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Hyenas attack

Hyenas have some of the strongest jaws in the animal kingdom. With their powerful teeth and jaws and efficient digestion, the spotted hyena can utilize virtually everything on a carcass except the rumen contents and horns. Hyenas are just as dangerous as a lion — it’s a good idea to keep arms in the car when they’re around. Lions and hyenas have a long-standing dislike of each other.

A man who killed a lion with his bare hands, only to be attacked by a pack of hyenas moments later, succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital. Moses Lekalau, a 35-year-old herdsman, was walking home from a neighbouring village in Maralal, some 250 kilometres north of the capital Nairobi, when he was pounced by a lion, which he fought off for half an hour and then killed with his bare hands. Hyenas then emerged from the forested path after his confrontation with the lion and attacked the man, biting off his hands and toes. Doctors had earlier expressed hope that the man would survive, but said he had lost a lot of blood from the vicious attack.

Leopard attack

Four-year-old Lakshmi Ninama, a resident of Dhanpur Patadi village of Limkheda taluka in Dahod district, died after she was attacked by a leopard. The girl was sleeping with her mother outside their hutment when the incident happened. The leopard picked up the minor and dragged her to a seasonal river nearby. The child’s death was caused as she received major injuries to the right side of her head. Villagers who were looking for the girl followed the pug-marks of the leopard through this soil and found her body lying near a cave near the Vakdi river.

Leopards are graceful and powerful big cats closely related to lions, tigers, and jaguars. The leopard is so strong and comfortable in trees that it often hauls its kills into the branches. By dragging the bodies of large animals aloft it hopes to keep them safe from scavengers such as hyenas. Leopards can also hunt from trees, where their spotted coats allow them to blend with the leaves until they spring with a deadly pounce.

Alligator attack

Adult alligators are apex predators critical to the biodiversity of their habitat. They feed mainly on fish, turtles, snakes, and small mammals. However, they are opportunists, and a hungry gator will eat just about anything, including carrion, pets and, in rare instances, humans.

Alligator was responsible for fatally attacking a woman while she was out jogging. The 91/2-foot-long alligator was trapped under a bridge where Yovy Suarez Jimenez, 28, was last seen. Witnesses saw a woman matching Suarez’s description dangling her feet over the water’s, but no one saw an attack. Construction workers discovered her body in the canal Wednesday. A medical examiner said the alligator attacked Suarez while she was on land and then dragged her body into the canal. Authorities found two human arms inside the gator’s belly.
