Suicide Attempt at Eaton Centre

Posted by SOTTO Monday, February 4, 2013 ,

The famous #Toronto mall was the scene of a reported morning suicide attempt on Monday, February 4, 2013. Apparently someone jumped from a balcony on the six floor onto the third floor, landing beside the Coach store and the large advertisement for the new movie 'Warm Bodies'. Emergency response included paramedics and police while mall security quickly roped off a large chunk of the third floor and they put up privacy screens. The ambulance waited out on Yonge Street.

It is important to remember that the Toronto Distress Centre has a 24h hotline for those that need help or just need to talk 416-408-HELP.

The line of balconys lead up on the east side of the mall. Police are investigating on the second balcony from the top while security keep the area roped off
